London: Jannik Sinner played a magnificent match in the Wimbledon 2026 final against Germany’s Alexander Zverev, securing a glorious victory on the grass court and winning his fifth Grand Slam title.

He emphasised the meaning of his latest second time victory in Wimbledon and said every major is different, but the taste of this Wimbledon triumph has all its own flavour.

Sinner overcame four sets to loss to his opponent Zverev and to win this fifth. The Italian star Sinner registered his victory by  6-7 (7-9), 7-6 (7-2), 6-3, 6-4  as Zverev lost control of the game in the last stages of the match.

Jannik Sinner said that “I think every Grand Slam is different. Different story, different environment, different feelings before the tournament. For me this one means a lot because it was a tough one after Paris again. Last year was also tough."

Sinner added that, "But coming here, I tried to play my best and tried to become as competitive as possible. Definitely sacrificing a lot of my time and everything to be in this position. Having this achievement, it means a lot to me. It was an amazing day today."

With his five Grand slams titles this year, his first Grand Slam final was last year’s US Open, and then added another major to his tally was Wimbledon 2025 .

Wimbledon 2026 was his second victory in grass court win, Sinner took lead over Alcaraz in their Big Titles battle.

This is his first Grand Slam crown since Wimbledon one year ago and his fifth major title overall. The Italian star has won all of his Slam trophies since the start of the 2024 season.
