New Delhi: The wedding of Indian women's cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal has been postponed indefinitely. Their manager, Tuhin Mishra, announced this on Sunday. The decision was made due to Mandhana's father's sudden deterioration in health.
Tuhin Mishra said, "This morning, while Smriti's father was having breakfast, his health suddenly deteriorated. After waiting for a while, his condition worsened, so we didn't take any chances and called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. He is currently under the supervision of doctors."
Mandhana is very close to her father. Tuhin said, "Smriti is clear that she will first see her father recover and then get married. Therefore, today's wedding has been postponed indefinitely. We request everyone to respect their privacy."
Smriti and Palash's wedding was scheduled to take place today in Sangli, Maharashtra. However, the wedding had to be postponed due to his father's deteriorating health. Tuhin said, "We are all in shock and wish him a speedy recovery."
