New Delhi: Argentina captain Lionel Messi thanked fans for their unwavering support after leading the defending champions to a second consecutive FIFA World Cup final with a dramatic 2-1 victory over England in the semi-final.

Messi, who provided two assists in the match, played a pivotal role in Argentina's comeback as the South American side booked a place in the title clash against Spain.

Speaking after the match, Messi expressed his gratitude to Argentine supporters and urged them to enjoy the team's latest achievement.
