A total of 16 teams are participating in the Under-19 ODI World Cup 2026, divided into four groups, each consisting of four teams. Each team will play three matches in the group stage. India proved itself a strong contender for the title by winning its first two matches.
While India won both of its matches, many of the remaining 15 teams have yet to play a single match or have played only one. Some teams have played two matches but failed to win both. This is why India became the first team to reach the Super-6.
A total of 12 teams will advance from the group stage to the Super-6 stage. Two new groups of six teams each will be formed by combining the top three teams from each of the four groups. In this round, the teams will play against the remaining teams in their new group.
