Lucknow: Four children, including two girls, have died and at least 20 were taken ill at Nirvana Shelter located in Lucknow's Para area, official said on Wednesday.
Over 20 children with special needs staying at the centre were rushed to hospital after their health suddenly deteriorated.
Lucknow District Magistrate Visakh said that four children (two girls and two boys aged 12-17 years) from the shelter home have died.
He added, their bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and their viscera will be preserved.
