The incident occurred around 10 pm outside a garment shop in A Block, Vikash Vihar, Chander Vihar, Nilothi Extension. The police were alerted to the shooting via a PCR call and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found blood stains on the ground and inside a nearby shop, but the injured man had already been transported to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by an unknown individual. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called to inspect the scene, and a complaint was subsequently filed.
