Air India: London-bound flight returns to Delhi after passenger hits cabin crew onboard

New Delhi: Air India on Monday offloaded a rude man for allegedly causing bodily injury to the cabin crew members of a Delhi-London flight. The aircraft returned to Delhi soon after take off to disembark the passenger. The airline gave this information.

The airline said flight AI 111 landed at Delhi airport and the passenger was handed over to the security personnel and an FIR was lodged with the police.

The airline said, “The passenger was warned verbally and in writing, but he ignored the warning and continued to behave in an unbecoming manner. He also tried to cause bodily injury to two members of the cabin crew."

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the aircraft had taken off for London Heathrow which "returned to the national capital immediately after take-off due to severe unruly rude behaviour of a passenger". 

The airline said, “The safety, security and dignity of all people on board Air India is important to us. We are extending all possible support to the affected crew members. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.

The airline said the flight is now likely to fly to London in the afternoon.
