Akhilesh Yadav pays obeisance to Goddess Durga on first day of Navratri

Lucknow: Shardiya Navratri has started from today with much devotion and gaiety across the country. On the first day of Navratri, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh offered prayers to Goddess Durga at his Lucknow residence. Akhilesh Yadav also wished prosperity and welfare for one and all.

The SP Chief has also made a post on social media on this occasion. In this, Akhilesh wrote, 'May Sharadiya Navratri fill everyone with new power and new resolve and make everyone's life happy... This is my wish, this is my desire!'

Shardiya Navratri is being celebrated from 15 to 23 October this year. During this period, devotees worship Maa Durga, the goddess of power and prosperity, in 9 different forms.
