Bangladesh: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared that Allah has preserved her life for a reason. Speaking virtually to families of slain Awami League leaders, she vowed justice for those behind the killings. Hasina, who was ousted from the country last August amid violence, accused opponents of turning Bangladesh into a "terrorist state.
Hasina sharply disparaged Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, calling him exploitative. "Yunus never cared for the people. He lent small loans at high interest, then lived lavishly abroad," she said. She blamed his "hunger for power" for fueling Bangladesh’s crisis.
Hasina recalled her personal tragedies: losing her parents, brother, and relatives in a single day and linked her survival to divine will.
Bangladesh, once a development model for other countries, now faces political violence targeting Awami League members, police, journalists, and artists. Hasina’s emotional address underscored her resolve amid the turmoil.
