New Delhi: Tata Motors today unveiled the 2021 Tata Safari that is expected to go on sale in India in February. Based on the OMEGA architecture, the new Tata Safari showcases the Impact 2.0 design language. The OMEGA architecture has been derived from Land Rover's legendary D8 platform and is used by the popular Tata Harrier as well.

The bookings for the new Tata Safari 2021 will open in India on February 4. We are expecting the 2021 Tata Safari to be available in the price bracket of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the heart of the 2021 Tata Safari is the Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that also does duty in the Tata Harrier. The motor develops 170PS of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque, and can be paired either with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT torque converter. The new Tata Safari gets three different drive modes -- Eco, City and Sport -- and as many terrain response modes -- Normal, Wet, and Rough.

The new Tata Safari 2021 is available in six variants -- XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+. The 2021 Tata Safari boasts of features like an imposing chrome grille, Xenon HID projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, rear spoiler, twin exhaust, stepped roof and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
