Lucknow: Ram Janmabhoomi temple Chief Priest Mahant Satyendra Das died at a hospital in Lucknow, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
According to information, the 85-year-old Mahant breathed his last today. He was admitted to HDU (High Dependency Unit) of Neurology ward on February 3 after suffering brain stroke.
He became the head priest of the Temple at the age of 20.
The last rites will be performed tomorrow (February 13) on the banks of river Saryu in Ayodhya.
