Azam Khan takes oath in UP assembly

Lucknow: Senior Samajwadi Party leader and MLA from Rampur, Mohammad Azam Khan along with his MLA son Abdullah Azam took the oath of Uttar Pradesh assembly here on Monday.
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana administered the oath to both the members in his chamber just before the start of the budget session.
Azam Khan, won in the recently held assembly polls while he was in prison on different criminal charges, was recently released on bail after spending over 2 years of incarceration.
Azam's son Abdullah also won the assembly polls on an SP ticker from Sust Tanda seat in Rampur district.Azam had resigned from Rampur Lok Sabha seat to retain his assembly seat. (UNI)
