New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi condoled the deaths of three students in basement flooding at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar on Sunday. In a post on X, the Congress leader termed the incident a "combined system failure." "The death of competitive exam students due to waterlogging in the basement of a building in Delhi is very unfortunate. A few days ago, a student died due to electric shock during the rains. express my heartfelt condolences to all the bereaved families," Rahul Gandhi said in the post. "This collapse of infrastructure is a combined system failure. The common citizen is paying the price of unsafe construction, poor town planning and the irresponsibility of institutions at every level by losing his life," he added.
