Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra to be a presenter at Oscar Awards 2016

Golden girl Priyanka Chopra, one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood, is on a winning streak. Gaining international recognition through her singing and more recently her portrayal of the leading character in TV show Quantico, Priyanka Chopra has been selected to be a presenter at the legendary Oscar Awards 2016, alongside Hollywood stars Jared Leto, Julianne Moore, Olivia Munn and Reese Witherspoon, among others.

Bollywood and Beyond
Winning the Miss World 2000 title, Priyanka Chopra entered Bollywood in 2003 with the movie The Hero. Despite receiving a mediocre response, Piggy Chops achieved critical and commercial acclaim playing a negative role in the 2004 hit Aitraz. Her national award winning role in the blockbuster Fashion (2008) further propelled her success. PC entered the international arena as a singer with the hit single ‘In My City’. The highly popular TV show Quantico, where she plays the lead character of a trainee FBI agent, has made her a familiar face internationally.

Awards
The fifth Indian to win the Miss World title, Priyanka Chopra has secured 90 awards over the years, including National Film Award, multiple Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards and most recently, the Padma Shri Award. Priyanka Chopra is also the first south Asian woman to win a People's Choice Award.

The 88th Academy Awards popularly known as Oscars, will be held on 28 February 2016.
