IAS Officer Robbed in Lucknow

Lucknow/ 5 Jan. An audacious robbery took place in Eldeco Greens - a posh area of Gomti Nagar region in Lucknow on Monday night. Six armed robbers barged into the residence of an IAS officer and robbed him of cash and jewellery worth lakhs. IAS Hridya Shankar Tiwari is presently serving as special secretary co-operative in the state.

After the news broke, Lucknow IG, DIG and SSP reached Hriday Shankar’s residence to take stock of the situation. A team of Crime branch along with a dog squad is also present at the spot and investigating the matter.

According to initial reports, the robbers held the IAS officer and his wife hostage and robbed them of cash and ornaments.
