Pentagon: China increases its military presence along the border

New Delhi / 15 May 2016.Chinese army has increased its military presence by deploying more military troops alongside the border, According to Pentagon’s annual report. The move has raised concern of US and to counter Chinese assertiveness, US has signaled that India can be a part of NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group) club.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for East Asia, Abraham M Denmark said that an increase in capability of military and defence arrangements have been noticed along the border. However, no official statement from the Defence ministry or the Indian government has been reported so far.

Tensions remain along disputed portions of the Sino- Indian border, where both parties have already occupied their armed forces patrol. India shares around 4,057 km boarder with China.
