Shahjahanpur: A 70-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in the Sidhauli area here, police said.
Harinandan, a resident of Moorcha village, was found dead in the morning, they said.

His son, Dilip, told the police that the deceased had a bank loan of over Rs 2 lakh and had written letters to the authorities for its waiver.
He was under immense pressure ever since the bank had sent him notices for recovery of loan, Dilip said. (PTI)
