Kolkata: Teachers, who lost their jobs, which they claim was orchestrated by the state government, are now sitting in front of the SSC Bhavan in Kolkata, protesting against the corruption that cost them their employment.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, they are demanding that their jobs be reinstated and that mirror images of their answer sheets be published to ensure transparency. Additionally, they are strongly condemning the lathi charge that was used against the protesting teachers yesterday.
Despite West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee meeting with the teachers and addressing them, the standoff continues. Reports suggest that a lathi charge was carried out against the protesting teachers yesterday.
