Hyderabad Cyber Crimes unit unearths investment fraud of Rs 712 cr; 9 apprehended

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police on Saturday claimed to have detected Rs 712 crore investment fraud by Dubai-based Chinese operators and arrested nine people.

The accused were arrested in Mumbai, Lucknow, Gujarat, and Hyderabad for having links with Dubai and Chinese fraudsters in an investment fraud, police said here on Saturday.

The police arrested the accused for allegedly duping people with the promise of providing high returns on their investments.

The police has seized mobile phones, laptops, and debit cards from the accused. (with Agency inputs)
