Pune: Riding on Tom Latham's 86 runs knock and Mitchell Santner's 7 wicket haul, New Zealand took 301 runs lead against India on Day two in the second Test match being played in Pune. 

At stumps, Glenn Phillips (9*) & Tom Blundell (30*) were at the crease while New Zealand reached 198/5 in 53 overs.

For India, spinner Washington Sundar has taken 4 wickets, taking his match tally to 11. 

For visitors, skipper Tom Latham scored 86 while Tom Blundell added 30 runs to the team tally. 

India bundled out for 156

Earlier in the day, home side was bundled out for 156 runs in their first innings, giving the Tom Latham-led side a crucial first-innings lead of 103 runs. For New Zealand, Santner took 7 wickets while Glenn Phillips took 2 wickets. 

In their first innings, New Zealand scored 256 runs. 

NZ takes 301 runs lead against Ind

India haven't lost a Test series at home since 2012. But now, their unbeaten record is under threat with Kiwis are in driving seat after winning Bengaluru Test.
