New Delhi: In a show of solidarity with Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren, several noted leaders from the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav will participate in 'Maharally' at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday.

AAP leader and Delhi Mantri Gopal Rai confirmed the authorities' approval for the rally which anticipates an attendance of over 20,000 people. The rally comes in the wake of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Other distinguished leaders who are expected to attend the rally include Derek O'Brian, Trichi Siva, Farooq Abdullah, and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren. Kalpana Soren, wife of incarcerated former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, may also join the rally.

In the meantime the Congress said on Saturday that the Sunday mega "Loktantra Bachao Rally" organised by the INDIA bloc seeks to uphold democratic values and the Constitution rather than individual figures, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

It is to be noted that the remarks are significant because Aam Aadmi Party leaders had already planned the March 31 rally to protest the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate.
