Kolkata: The ISKCON on Friday held a protest 'kirtan' at its Albert Road centre in Kolkata for the second consecutive day, seeking the release of jailed Hindu spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das.

The ISKCON members also expressed concern over the condition of religious minorities in Bangladesh.
Followers performed kirtans and held placards in support of the jailed leader, while ISKCON spokesperson Radharaman Das highlighted the worsening condition of religious minorities in Bangladesh which witnessing a string of violence agaist minorities, especially Hindus, since the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
Bangladesh's minority Hindus, who account 8 percent of the 170 million population, have faced more than 200 attacks in over 50 districts since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League government on August 5.(With Agency Inputs)
