SRINAGAR: Four people died, and three were injured after a boat capsized in River Jhelum in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, Muzaffar Zargar, medical superintendent of Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital said.
Officials have initiated a rescue mission and have dispatched the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team to assist in the operation.
The water levels of various water bodies, including the Jhelum, have risen due to the persistent rainfall experienced over the past few days.
