Jharkhand Assembly Polls: MS Dhoni casts vote in Ranchi

Ranchi: Former Indian Cricket team skipper MS Dhoni, along with his wife Sakshi, on Wednesday reached a polling station in Ranchi to cast vote in the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Voter Turnout 

The state recorded 59.28 per cent voter turnout till 3 pm in the first phase of the Assembly Elections, according to the Election Commission of India.

Video Gone Viral 

In a video, which has gone viral now, 2011 winning world Cup team captain and his wife can be seen entering the polling booth amid tight security. Fans were also excited to see his idol coming to the polling booth to cast vote. 

Voting for the first phase of the state elections began on Wednesday morning, with voting taking place on 43 out of 81 seats.
