Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Former Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday ruled out forming a new party for now.

Ahead of Mulayam's press conference, speculation was rife that he would announce his own party. However, no such announcement was made by him as he denied forming his own party any time soon.

Addressing media here, he said, "I am not forming a new party as of now. I would make more announcements in the coming days.

"He is my son so my blessings are with him." he added.

The ex- Samajwadi Party president further trained guns at the Centre and the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government over several issues including Banaras Hindu University (BHU) molestation, petrol prices, farmer loan waivers.

"None of the promises made by the Centre were fulfilled in three years of its governance. Petrol-diesel prices are skyrocketing. Girls are not safe in BHU. The law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh has become worse. The situation of farmers has also deteriorated. Farmers have been sufferers under the Yogi government," he said.

Mulayam also asked the Opposition to come together and unite against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). (ANI)
