New Delhi: The whole Nation is paying heartful tributes to Dr Bheemrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891–1956) on his 135th Birth Anniversary today on Monday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Dr Ambedkar was a jurist, economist, politician, and social reformer who led the movement against caste discrimination in India.
President Droupadi Murmu, Vice- President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and other dignitaries on Monday paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 135th Birth Anniversary at Prerna Sthal in Parliament premises.

Ambedkar Jayanti is observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar, Indian politician and social reformer.
Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar worked steadfast throughout his life to end social and caste discrimination against the marginalised sections of the society.
From a humble beginning, he went on to become the first law and justice minister of independent India. He was awarded India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1990.
