At least 20 people were killed and 54 others sustained injuries on Saturday, in the explosion of a fuel pipeline in Mexico's central Hidalgo state, regional Governor Omar Fayad said.
Mexico City: At least 20 people were killed and 54 others sustained injuries on Saturday, in the explosion of a fuel pipeline in Mexico's central Hidalgo state, regional Governor Omar Fayad said.
Earlier in the day, a powerful explosion hit the ruptured pipeline in the Tlahuelilpan municipality, burning people as at least 350 local residents were trying to leak fuel from it.
The incident occurred amid a fuel crisis in the country sparked by the government's campaign to curb fuel stealing.(UNI)
