She made this remark after BJP Bihar chief Nityanand Rai on March 9 said that Araria will turn into an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) hub if the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) wins the Lok Sabha bypoll election.

RJD candidate Sarfaraz Alam won the Araria Lok Sabha bypoll by 61,788 votes on Wednesday.

Reacting to Rai's ISI jibe, Rabri Devi said that the BJP is shocked by the result of the bye-elections and that is the reason why its leaders are making such statements.

Wife of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav also advised Rai to control his language and termed the BJP leaders as terrorists.

She said, "All the terrorists reside in the BJP office. The people have answered back that is why they have gone berserk. The people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are showing the way. Control your words and apologise to people of Araria. Otherwise, people will not forgive you in 2019."

Araria is a Muslim-dominated area with over 40 percent of the population belonging to the religion.(ANI)
