Shaheed Diwas: A tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev

The nation observed the Martyrs Day in the memory of the three young revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar, who were hanged to death by the British rulers in Lahore jail.

New Delhi: The nation observed the Martyrs Day in the memory of the three young revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar, who were hanged to death by the British rulers in Lahore jail.

The day is also observed by 14 other nations to pay homage to their freedom fighters apart from India.

History: 
On 23 March 1931, three brave hearts Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar were executed. They were arrested in the Lahore conspiracy case. 

Significance:
The day symbolizes the sacrifice their life for the goal of attaining freedom for their country are paid tribute on these days.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and many other political leaders paid tribute to the young souls.
