Chennai: Foreign currency worth Rs 9.53 lakh was seized from a Malaysia bound passenger at the international airport here on Saturday, the Customs department said.

Acting on a tip off, Customs officials examined his luggage and retrieved USD 13,500, worth Rs 9.53 lakh, concealed in them, an official release said. (PTI)
