Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented Rs 6 lakh crore Budget 2022-23 in the Assembly on Thursday.
While the Finance Minister was giving the budget speech in the House, some of the members were seen dozing off at times.
UP CM Adityanath quite often advises his Ministers and MLAs to stay fit all the time. He also asks them to actively participate in the schemes and programmes of the government.
In spite of this, the apathy on the part of some members during Budget presentation in the House is condemnable.
The Finance Minister read out the budget speech for about an hour and a half. During his presentation, Khanna also spoke about the achievements of the Yogi government. He also proposed many new schemes related to particular ministeries and other departments.
It may be possible that some of the announcements by the Finance Minister might have gone unheard by the concerned members resulting in misinformation.
