UP: Boat capsises in Baghpat, 22 dead

At least 22 people died after a boat carrying morethan 60 people capsised in river Yamuna in Baghpat. CM Yogi has announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for the kin of deceased.

Baghpat: At least 22 people died on Thursday after a boat carrying morethan 60 people capsised in river Yamuna in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.

The rescue operation by the police is still underway.

Meanwhile, the District Manager of Baghpat, Bhawani Singh, reported that 22 people have died in the accident.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for the kin of deceased. (ANI)
