Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday declared 8 names of its Mayor candidates for 8 cities including Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Meerut, Shahjahanpur, Firozabad and Ayodhya.
The names of the candidates were announced after the approval of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.
The list was released by party's state president Naresh Uttam Patel.
The urban local body polls will take place in two phases on May 4 and May 11. The counting of votes will take place on May 13.
