UP: SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav announces Mata Prasad Pandey as LoP in State Assembly

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party Supremo Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday announced the name of Mata Prasad Pandey as Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Uttar pradesh Assembly. 

His name was announced after the meeting of Party MLAs. 

Mata Prasad Pandey is a seven-time MLA. He was Minister for Health in 1991 and Minister for Labour and Employment in 2003.

Mata Prasad was the Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 26.07.2004 to 18.05.2007.
