Lucknow: The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has extended the ban on the announcement of Uttar Pradesh civic elections by one more day till 14 December.
The Lucknow bench of the High Court also restrained the State Election Commission from issuing the notification for the civic elections till tomorrow.
The High court will take up the matter tomorrow for further hearing.
The division bench headed by Justice DK Upadhyay gave this order on a PIL accusing the state government of not following the procedure in implementing OBC reservation in municipal elections.
