Uttar Pradesh: STF held 2 smuggler with illegal weapons

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force (STF) arrested 2 criminals on Thursday who were smuggling illegal weapons from Punjab. 

The accused have been identified as Gurvinder Jeet Singh and Shejpal Singh, the UP STF said. 

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, STF was getting information about the interstate gang involved in smuggling of illegal arms being active in the districts of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Police has registered a case against Gurvinder Jeet Singh and Shejpal Singh in the above related cases.

The accused have been booked under sections 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) (a) VNS and 5/25 (1) (a)/25 (8) of the Arms Act.
