After an intensive long chase of about 50 days, the UP STF finally in an encounter killed Asad, son of mafia Atiq Ahmed and shooter Ghulam, son of Maqsudan on Thursday. Both were wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case of Prayagraj and each carried a reward of Rs.5 lakh.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the police has achieved this great success after about 50 days under the leadership of UP STF ADG Amitabh Yash.
This encounter by UP STF team was guided by DSP Navendu Kumar and DSP Vimal.
UP STF Additional Director General of Police Amitabh Yash told Dynamite News that the encounter took place in Jhansi. On seeing the UP police, Asad and Ghulam started firing on the police team. In retaliation the police had to open fire resulting in the killing of both of them.
