Born in Haryana

Sonali was born on 21 September 1976 at Bhuthan village, Fatehabad, Haryana.

Family

She was married to Sanjay Phogat, but her husband was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hisar in 2016. She is the mother of a girl named Yashodhra Phogat.

Tik-tok Star

She got fame from her TikTok videos and had a huge following on the app.

TV Anchor

She debuted as a TV anchor in 2006 in a Haryanvi show on Doordarshan.

Bigg Boss contestant

Phogat had also participated in the 2020 edition of reality show Bigg Boss.

Joined BJP in 2008

Sonali joined BJP in 2008 and in 2019, she contested Harayana Assembly Elections from the Adampur Constituency. However, she lost the elections to Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi by a margin of 29,471 votes.
