New Delhi: The Indian cricket team has won the World Cup for the second time in the year of 2011, 2nd April at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai against Sri Lanka. It is the great achievement of for the Country to grap the ICC World Cup trophy. 

Toss: 
Sri Lanka won the toss and and opted to bat first against India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Sri Lankan Performance: 
Sri Lanka scored 274-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene 103-runs in 88 balls.

Kumar Sangakkara made 48 off 67-balls, Tilakeratne Dilshan scored 33, Nuwan Kulasekara 32, Thisara Perera 22 and Thilan Samaraweera 21.

Indian Perfromance
India chased 277-4 in 48.2 overs. The top scorer by Gautam Gambhir 97 runs by 122-balls. MS Dhoni scored 91 not out, Virat Kohli struck 35-runs, Yuvraj Singh 21 not out and Sachin Tendulkar 18.
