iPhone Fold Leak Hints at Major Design Changes Ahead of 2026 Launch
New Delhi: Apple's first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Fold, has been in the news for a long time. Now, a new leak has revealed several key details about its design. According to reports, the iPhone Fold could feature a completely different and more premium look than existing iPhone models. Its camera design and button placement could make it the most stylish iPhone yet.
According to leaked information, the iPhone Fold could feature an all-black camera platform. This camera section will be based on the same platform as the iPhone Air, but instead of a body color, it will feature a completely black camera module. The two rear cameras will be aligned, along with a microphone and flash. This layout somewhat resembles the iPad Pro's camera design and will give the foldable iPhone a distinct identity.

The iPhone Fold may be offered in limited colors during the initial launch. Reports claim that white is almost certain. However, given Apple's strategy, a more premium shade may also be included at launch.
The iPhone Fold may also see a change in its button layout. The volume buttons could be shifted upwards, similar to those found on the iPad mini. The Touch ID and camera control buttons, which were located on the power button, will remain on the right side. The left side of the device may be kept completely clean, giving it a more minimal and sleek look.

To keep the design slim, the iPhone Fold may prioritize Touch ID over Face ID. A single punch-hole design for the front camera and a smaller Dynamic Island are expected, allowing for better screen utilization.
According to leaks, the iPhone Fold may feature a 7.8-inch crease-less OLED inner display and a 5.5-inch secondary screen on the outside. It is likely to be powered by the A20 Pro chipset. The camera setup could include a total of four cameras, two at the rear and two at the front.
The iPhone Fold is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series in September 2026. Its price is estimated to be around $2,400 in the US, making it a likely entry into the ultra-premium smartphone category in India.
