Noida: The 7th International Conference on Influencer’s Content, Algorithmic Transparency, and Narrative Building (ICAN) was successfully held by Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME) on April 16 and 17, 2025, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The event brought together students, media professionals, and academics across India and overseas to discuss the changing landscape of digital media.
The first session saw key speakers, such as TV9 news anchor Ravi Mishra, IIMC’s Prof. Surbhi Dahiya, Prof. Dr. Umesh Arya, and South Asian University’s Prof. Ambrish Saxena, emphasizing algorithmic transparency and analyzing the influencer culture’s impact on public discourse. The conference was inaugurated by DME Director General Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhanwar Singh, whose address gave tone to the conference.
Hon’ble VC Mr. Aman Sahni and DME Director Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Kant Swami gave critical leadership, and Dr. Parul Mehra, Head of DME Media School, directed the execution of the conference. Dr. Yamini Khullar and Dr. Shefalli Chhibber, co-convenors, coordinated academic sessions and arrangements.
More than 80 research papers were received from nations such as the US, UK, Nigeria, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. Topics included AI-generated content, algorithmic bias, influencer credibility, and digital ethics.
The valedictory session had Prof. K.G. Suresh (Retd VC, MCNUJC), Dr. Aasha Kapur Mehta (IHD), Prof. Avinash Singh (Ex-Pro-VC, UTM), and spiritual leader Sadhvi Pragya Bharti, who lauded the conference’s timeliness. The conference ended with awarding outstanding presenters and a vote of thanks by DME’s Vishal Sahai.
