Oppo launches A6 Pro 4G with Helio G100 and massive 7,000mAh battery

The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is powered by MediaTek’s new Helio G100 processor, which could be the company’s final 4G chipset. The phone features 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, making it a high-performance device.

New Delhi: Oppo has added a new member to its A6 series. Previously, the company launched the Oppo A6 Pro 5G, A6 GT, and A6i 5G models. Now, the company has introduced the Oppo A6 Pro 4G model in Vietnam. This phone is believed to be an upgraded version of the Oppo A5 4G, which was also known as the A5i Pro and A5m in different regions.

Performance and Processor

The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is powered by MediaTek's new Helio G100 processor, which could be the company's final 4G chipset. The phone features 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, making it a high-performance device. The chipset also includes a vapor chamber, which helps keep the phone cool.

Display and Design

The phone features a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 1080p+ resolution. This is significantly better than the Oppo A5 4G's 6.67-inch 90Hz IPS LCD and 720p+ display. The display's brightness also reaches 1,400 nits, up from the previous model's 1,000 nits. This is the same display as the Oppo A6 Pro 5G.

The phone's design is slightly different from the previous 5G model. The rear camera features a 50-megapixel primary camera in the top left corner, along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. This camera can record 1080p video at 60fps. The front camera features a 16-megapixel selfie camera that records 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and Charging

The Oppo A6 Pro 4G features a large 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. This battery capacity and charging speed are comparable to the 5G model. In comparison, the previous 4G model supported 45W charging.

Durability and Other Features

The phone comes with IPX6 (protected against strong water for up to 3 minutes), IPX8 (protected against immersion in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes), and IPX9 (resistant to 80°C water currents) ratings. It also has an IP6X dust-tight rating. The phone has also passed MIL-STD-810H testing, a testament to its durability.

The phone also includes stereo speakers, a 300% volume mode, a 360° NFC antenna, an outdoor display visibility mode, and a sharing system similar to the iPhone's AirDrop.

Price and Availability

The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is priced at VND 8,300,000 (approximately Rs. 28,000) in Vietnam, making it above the entry-level phone. This price is currently being quoted as a price holder, and the actual price may be slightly lower.

The phone comes in four color options: Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, Coral Pink, and Rosewood Red. Currently, only the first three colors are available on FPTShop.
