New Delhi: WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature aimed at enhancing the user experience. With the arrival of this feature, users will find chatting significantly more convenient—especially those who receive a high volume of messages throughout the day.
The most notable aspect of this new feature is that chats originating from business accounts will no longer appear in the main inbox. Instead, they will be housed in a separate section. This will make it easier for users to locate their personal messages without having to constantly scroll through their feed.
Nowadays, many users are constantly bombarded with promotional and business messages, causing their inboxes to become cluttered. Thanks to this new feature, such messages will be automatically segregated, resulting in a cleaner, less cluttered chat interface and a reduction in perceived spam.
A key highlight of this feature is that users will not need to manually enable it. According to reports, business chats will automatically move to the separate section within 24 hours. This ensures users enjoy an improved experience without any extra effort on their part.
Currently Undergoing Testing
At present, this feature is in the development stage and is not yet available even to beta users. It is expected that the feature may be released for testing purposes within the coming weeks.
WhatsApp has also recently begun rolling out a 'username' feature. Users can now share a unique username instead of their mobile number, thereby enhancing their privacy and security. This feature will function similarly to how usernames work on Facebook and Instagram.
According to reports, WhatsApp may soon introduce a paid subscription plan, tentatively titled "WhatsApp Plus." Through this, users can access extra features such as increased chat pins, custom themes, and exclusive stickers and ringtones.
However, the good news is that basic functionalities—such as chatting, calling, and file sharing—will remain free of charge, just as they have in the past. This means that users who do not wish to pay will still be able to use the app without any issues.
This new feature from WhatsApp could prove to be highly beneficial for users. It will simplify chat management, reduce spam, and enhance privacy. In the future, the app is poised to become even smarter and more user-friendly.
