Former finance minister P. Chidambaram on Sunday took to Twitter to stress on the prevailing instability in the Kashmir Valley and blamed the Centre for aggravating the problem by taking “a maximalist position.”
Rahul took to his Twitter to condemn the recent terror attack.
“The issue of ‘gau rakshaks’ is raging today. Why don’t you send these vigilantes to fight terrorists?” Thackeray asked while addressing representatives of various Ganesh mandals for the upcoming festival.
“Anything that happens in Kashmir finds echo across the country. People of the Valley want the guilty to be punished. We are here on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express our solidarity…” he added.
As a precautionary measure, the security agencies have been asked to ascertain the identity of the people before letting them cross over through the border, said Ranjeet Singh, Deputy Inspector Genaral, SSB.
“This is the tipping point. The civilian government should be dismissed or should be asked to resign, and we should impose the Central rule through the Governor in Jammu and Kashmir,” Swamy said.
Madhav, the party’s point person on Jammu and Kashmir, said the security forces’ operation against terrorists would continue and all efforts made to ensure that the Amarnath yatra passes off peacefully.
“It is advised that proper anti-terror arrangements should be put in place at all vital installations, business establishments and other vulnerable targets, including crowded markets, malls, religious places, metro stations, airport, railway stations etc,” the Delhi Police said.
