Hours after Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli recommended the dissolution of Parliament on Sunday, the country’s President Bidhya Devi Bhandari ratified the proposal and announced dates for the elections to be held next year.
Left Alliance candidate Bidhya Devi Bhandari has been elected as President of Nepal on Tuesday.
Voting has begun at the Nepal parliament, for election of the new President of the country.
Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal reportedly submitted his resignation to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
