Parliament Standing Committee on Information Technology is scheduled to hold a meeting on June 29 to hear the views of Facebook India and Google India on safeguarding citizens’ rights and prevention of misuse of social online news media platforms.
Change in WhatsApp privacy policy will be among other issues which will be discussed in the meeting between officials of Facebook and Twitter and the Parliamentary standing committee on Information Technology (IT) on January 21, sources said.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology (IT) is slated to meet on Wednesday to discuss issues of invasion of privacy and WhatsApp.
