Police said that upon receiving information, personnel from the Jamkhandi police station were immediately rushed to the spot, reviewed the situation, and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when a speeding car hit a bike from behind. The severe impact caused the car to lose balance and collide head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
At around 6 am, an accident was reported. A canter vehicle belonging to SRP Logistics and a cruiser vehicle collided. Three people have died on the spot. The injured have been referred to the district hospital. The accident site is on SH 30, a state highway
