A habeas corpus petition has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing against the alleged torture meted out to social activist Talib Hussain by Jammu and Kashmir police, in connection with the alleged Kathua rape and murder case.
The top court also directed probe should happen in presence of their family members. The decision was taken by the apex court after three witnesses alleged torture by the police during the interrogation.
This special fast track court which would be the first in the state is expected to complete the trial in ninety days.
