Parliament Monsoon Session: Government Introduces 3 Important Bills in Lok Sabha, House Adjourned Till 2 PM
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal tabled the Tribunals Reforms Bill 2026 in the Lower House. The Bill seeks to improve the functioning of tribunals and ensure transparency and uniformity in the appointment and service conditions of tribunal members. It also proposes setting up a National Tribunals Commission.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy introduced the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, which seeks to further amend the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. Apart from these, the Kerala (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2026 was also tabled in the Lok Sabha, which seeks to change the name of the state of Kerala to Keralam. The House was later adjourned till 2 PM amid continued disruptions, with several parliamentary committees also scheduled to present reports.
