The counting of votes in Himachal Pradesh is still continuing. According to the trends recieved so far, Congress has crossed the majority mark. Read on for details:
Rebel MLA Deepak Kesarkar, who is a part of the Eknath Shinde camp which named its group ‘Shiv Sena Balasaheb’ on Saturday, said that they are still with the Shiv Sena and claimed that they have a two-thirds majority. Read futher on Dynamite News:
As Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government won the trust vote with 169 votes in its favour, Shiv Sena on Monday said that it should not be surprising if the majority mark reaches 185 in future.
The Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) alliance together with two independent candidates have 117 MLAs, six more than the majority required to form a government in the state. All the 117 MLAs voted in Kumaraswamy’s favour.
BS Yeddyurappa resigned after he wasn’t able to establish his majority.
“Wait till tomorrow or day after tomorrow,” Yeddyurappa said when asked about the Bharatiya Janata Party proving majority in a floor test to be conducted in the House at the end of this month.
